Cool North Shore

We know that climate change threatens the future health of the planet, our community, and the future we’re leaving for our children.Addressing it presents an opportunity to improve many aspects of our lives, but figuring out how to respond to these concerns and opportunities can be overwhelming and confusing. With all this in mind, a diverse group of North Shore citizens, the Legacy North Shore Society, has decided that we can do something powerful NOW. We can work together and tackle climate change, right here on the North Shore, to take positive steps toward a low-carbon community.  Adapting the Low Carbon Diet model created by the Empowerment Institute (used in hundreds of communities and organizations across the world), they’ve partnered with provincial and local governments and BC Hydro to spread this across the North Shore over the coming year.  Cool North Shore is a ground-breaking opportunity for citizens and neighbourhoods to make a concrete and lasting difference in our community.  Get involved. Come to the Climate Change Café on Wednesday, February 18th, 5:30-9pm. Dinner will be served.The cost of $15 includes dinner and all materials.
